"Tough." "Focused. Driven." Sources have confirmed Carey
Schueler is currently competing for a million bucks in Survivor: Thailand,
which just started filming this week on the island of Tarutao.
Schueler recently hails from Orland Park, Illinois, and is the daughter of White Sox Sr. V.P. Ron Schueler. Classmates in Moraga, California will recall her as a stand-out basketball player at Campolindo High School. Already holding a place in American history as the first woman ever drafted by Major League Baseball, Carey Schueler was the 43rd round draft pick by the Chicago White Sox in 1993 at age 18. The left-handed pitcher opted to retain her amateur standing and headed to DePaul University on a basketball scholarship, later transferring to St. Mary's College. According to sources, this woman clearly has game - but will she be able to keep her eye on the ball? Viewers will find out when the fifth incarnation of Mark Burnett's reality TV show Survivor airs this September. One down. Fifteen to go. |
